What inspired you to start the blog?
Ans: I wanted to preserve my recipes in one place and leave them as a legacy to my son.
When did you realize this was going to become more than just a hobby?
Ans: Once I started writing there was no looking back. Since it propelled me to experiment me with new ideas to play with flavors and create new recipes. All with an intent to create healthy yet tasty options.
Why do you think food blogging has become so popular now?
Ans: The advent of social media has given Bloggers exposure to connect with the world like never before.
What is the most time-consuming part for you as a food blogger?
Ans: Writing the recipe in a detailed yet simplified and easy to follow steps.
Could you give some advice for bloggers who are starting out?
Ans Each post should be written assuming that your readers are novices in cooking.
What is the most important thing you should be doing as a food blogger?
Ans: Encouraging readers to cook more often at home.
How much technical know how do you think someone needs to have if they want to become a food blogger?
Ans: They should be well versed with the internet. Should technically understand blogging and should have a working knowledge of communicating through multiple social media apps like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.
What according to you is the best way to increase traffic to your food blog?
Ans: Regular blogging, communicating continuously through social media, using effective keywords to tag recipes and understanding other SEO options.
How often did you post when you started off as opposed to now?
Ans: Initially twice a week.
How soon were you able to make your first 100 dollars?
Ans: My blog has not generated any revenue yet.
What is your preferred source of monetization for your blog?
Ans: Through advertisements.
Do you think there is a right time to start monetizing a food blog?
Ans: Yes, once it has reached a threshold of fifty recipes.
